Property Division
When a couple divorces there is typically personal property that has been acquired during the marriage that must be divided and awarded to one of the parties. In many instances there is also real property (such as a house). You and your spouse can divide your property by agreement or allow the court to issue a decree awarding the property to a particular party. As your legal partner, we assist you in finding the right solution by examining some of the same factors the courts would consider in making their decision. Some of those considerations include learning ability, length of the marriage, health of both parties and child custody. |
